Who is this girl?
Rita Posillico is a musician/actress from New York. She has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 10 years, performing, composing and music directing at venues such as 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, The Bitter End, and The Office! A Musical Parody. Her original musical Could Have Been has been produced in Manhattan three times, including receiving an award at the NY Theater Festival. She has also had her work nominated for best score in a comedic web series at the LAWebfest and has a single out on Spotify titled One Last Bite with her blues/rock group Rita & The Playboys. An actor, singer, pianist, guitarist, and writer, Rita continues to work on writing new compositions and performing in the New York area.
Recent Projects
Rita recently music directed the opening of the Off-Broadway show Friends! The Musical Parody at The Jerry Orbach Theater in NYC. She is also the current music director at The Office! A Musical Parody and Christ Lutheran Church on Long Island. Rita received a stellar review on Broadway World for her music directing in a concert she put up last month at Feinstein’s 54 Below, Somehow We Manage.
An actress as well, Rita has just completed a podcast series with Meet Cute in partnership with NYCFC where she voiced one of the leading roles, Gaby. The series titled, It Happened Without Warning, is now available on all audio platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon.) She will also be making her final performance as Kelly & Others in the Off-Broadway Show The Office! Musical Parody on April 10th.
